My War

A female rouge dressed in black with a hood in front of a battlefield. There's a castle on a cliff in the distance. The background is orange.

I never meant to start a war, a war with the world

His side against everyone else, me and him against everyone else

Many were lost in the war, including him

That was the final blow, and I rose to avenge his death

The war raged. The war exploded. The war erupted

I fought harder than I ever fought before

Nothing could amount to the loss of him

The pain was unbearable

I screamed so loudly

That’s why I killed

That’s why I always killed from then on

Street brawls were common

Extravagant schemes were less so

The war continued for several days and nights

But I could never come close to accomplishing what he had

I had one weakness: him

Without him, I could never be anyone, never rise to any power

And so, I retreated and hid in the shadows with the rest of my army

We still wait, silent and prepared to strike

Waiting, waiting, forevermore, until he returns
