The Book

An open book shines and sparkles with a white quill on top of it against a yellow and pink background.

The Book is a powerful item,

An item of great magic.

The contents it contains, however,

May turn out to be tragic.

Pen or pencil upon the page

Racing ever furiously.

The writer’s thoughts, floating about,

Hoped readers were reading curiously.

Many secrets The Book holds

And not all are to know them.

Their importance is great, their meaning powerful

For it’s beyond what you could fathom.

Much can be learned

And much can be to gain,

So do not take the name

Of The Book in vain.

Continue on reading

And then read some more.

While The Book is in your hands,

You’ll never be in a bore.
